Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in either system design and code comprehension in one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
- 7 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
- 7 years of experience with data analysis and SQL/MySQL.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience delivering data products at large enterprises with complex requirements.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fluid environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to think critically and investigate, breaking down complex issues into manageable components.
- Excellent business and technical communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
About the job
As a Data Products Lead, you will join a team of analytics professionals working on impactful projects. These projects include developing critical data pipelines to support business operations and building tools to analyze content partnerships and the creator ecosystem. You will guide business leadership in optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of partner-facing business teams. You will develop GenAI solutions for business users, anticipating future opportunities and proactively developing solutions. You will also generate and execute ideas for new project initiatives with clear, broad, and measurable impact.
In this role, you will invest in GenAI to drive next-generation business initiatives. You will build upon the foundation of robust semantic models developed through the Looker platform, as part of YouTube's Data Democratization initiative. You will be responsible for delivering robust GenAI solutions based on this foundation.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$263,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive the goal for GenAI adoption across YouTube Business Organization and Go-To-Market teams.
- Act as a go-to in areas of Generative AI, with proven technical domain knowledge and internal Google products/systems.
- Lead and manage delivery of Generative AI services like conversational analytics and natural language search at scale to optimize YouTube Business Organization business processes.
- Write and review end-user and technical documents, including requirements and design documents for existing and future data systems, as well as data standards and policies.
- Utilize broad and deep, core technical role-related knowledge, relevant to Google-wide technologies and processes, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
